I could remember the first time I put in the CD and saw the game I would play the next 4 years. I loved it, played it for days, alone and with friends. Until I lost the CD.

2 Years after the loss I met Steam, and saw that they made the Extended Edition. So, like I always do, waited until christmas and bought it in the Winter Sale.

And all the memories came back to me, and started playing it again. And apparently I never stopped loving this game. Every time I click on the PLAY button I still feel the memories coming back to me.10/10 wouldn't forget the background music again. It's a good remaster of a game that was in dire need of revival, the DLC it comes with breathes new life into it, despite it's many setbacks.

I'd get it if you love history, and the mythology of various nations. I can't belive I almost didn't buy this because of the amount of recent negative reviews re the game not running etc. I had NO problems running the game on Win7, about 2 years old PC. I experienced NO lagging. I find this to be a good remake of the game I loved as a kid.I think the graphics remake is pretty good, the textures and shadows look nice. Of course, the 3D models would need updating too but I guess that's just a lot of work :) I am happy with the way that it is.

Having played recently the original version of this game, I think the remake is really nice.I haven't encountered any single player bugs so far, maybe apart from the unit AI being a stupid from time to time.
